Hello. Long Time No See.

Well it has been sometime since we have worked on this, and well we apologize to anyone who's been waiting to hear what we were up to. A lot had happened since the last time you heard from Jaxson. Football season is of course over and we have moved on to T-Ball season for his little brother L. Hmmm what else ....

OH!! Jaxson is no longer in public school! We took him out and we are enjoying Homeschooling! There is a loooong story... but long story short. We, his parents, were disappointed with how our school was handling things, how they were teaching, and how there was lack of discipline and concern. So we decided if they weren't going to give him the best education we felt he deserved... then we'd do it ourselves! Of course it's not for everyone, and I can't imagine my life {mom} without my public school education. But it was a different time... and right now for us we are homeschooling. Who knows for how long.... but we are going to take it a day at a time and enjoy each and every day we have together!

So now that we have settled into a nice routine, and summer is just around the corner, Jax has asked to start this back up. We also got emails recently with current soldiers and an airman serving over in Afghanistan. Jaxson is very patriotic and wants to start writing to more serving overseas. So if you know someone who'd enjoy a letter from a pretty amazing 9 year old kid, let us know and we will get to work on a letter or care package ASAP!

Thanks for stopping by and we promise we will be working hard to keep this going!

Thanks,
Jaxson's Mom :)

Some recent pictures of Jax and his brothers. {the youngest is growing facial hair a little early, don't ya think? lol}

Ok.... I'm Back At It!!!

We are sorry for not posting sooner.... and for delays in letters. Jaxson was playing football and this is the busiest time of year for me at work.

Football is over and my work will be slowing down here soon!! Ahhhh

His team made it to the playoffs... very exciting stuff! Here's a picture! Jaxson is #95

And we want to make sure we have this back up and going for the Holidays.

We want to get cards out to some service men and women serving overseas during the Holidays. Specially Iraq and Afghanistan.

If you know of someone serving overseas please email me at thatgirl@mcpeeksmith.com with their info. We will be doing cards this weekend and hoping to get a few care packages going in a the next couple of weeks.

Also if you know of a child in the hospital or sick .... please also we would like their info. Jaxson and his brother Logan have been throwing some ideas around for those special kids that need a an extra pick me up!

Thank you for your continued support and thank you so much for all the letters!!

Peace and Blessings,

Stacy

Post Cards

I like post cards and I think most kids do. While out looking for paper and stuff for me, I couldn't find anything I liked. And most of it was girly. That made me sad, but mom had a great idea!!

Together mom and I will be designing my own stationary!! It's going to be cool. Be on the lookout for a post on it soon.

The Beatles Please

Mom has made us into huge Beatles fans. My favorite song by them is Lady Madonna. And mom says Hey Jude is for me. She sings it all the time to me, when she can keep from crying. She is so weird sometimes.

My Firsts

I got a letter from my 2nd cousins wife. That sounds funny to me. She sent me a very nice letter and I am working on returning one to her. I loved the stamp she used. Part of the money she paid for her stamp went to Animal Shelters. I thought that was cool. Thank you TJ for my first letter and look for one from me soon.

Another first I got was stamp donations! My Aunt Stephanie and my mom were the first to hand me these cool stamps.

I like these because I think they are funny and I like comics. Thank you Aunt Stephanie and Mom!

{MOMS TURN}

Thanks for the continued support. We sent out a handful of letters last week and are preparing to send out some more in the next few days. I was tickled when Jax got his first letter and TJ thank you for the kind words. We are very proud of this fella and I have no words for the inspiration he has given to you and others. He's an amazing guy and it's a true joy to be his mom and watch him grow.

{A LINE}

"...your letters will bring a smile to someone's face, and keep a postal worker employed."

POWERFUL! And something we all can do.

And we are off..... to tackle the list of letters to send.

Welcome

Welcome to Jaxson's blog.

I am mom and helping Jax out with his big idea. What started out as a way for Jax to learn the proper way of writing a letter, has turned into something that I am still trying to wrap my brain around. The kid is such a great kid and I am so honored that I am his mom.

Here is a glimpse of our brainstorming

Mom's ideas
* Teach the kids the proper way to correspond by mail.
* Learn about one another and where they are from.
* Broaden Jaxson's horizons and become excited about the world outside his own back yard.
* Give kudos to the postmen and women and celebrate what the USPS has given us over the years.

Jax's BIG ideas
* Make new friends all over the world.
* Together send cards to kids who are sick.
* Collect postcards and stamps.
* Together send letters of thanks to soldiers fighting the war for us.
* Get fun mail and share comics with other kids.
* Share the fun it is to get mail.
* Celebrate birthdays and holidays together by mail.

Soooo there's what we have. It's a process and I think I am going to let it happen as it happens. It's his thing and I am here to help organize and guide him as he needs me. He's so excited to finally get this going is actually trying to talk me into getting a Post Office Box just for him. Hmmm we shall see. ;o)

Thanks for joining us and I look forward to see what the amazing kids who join in do.

If you would like to join in on the fun, shoot us an email at putastamponit@mcpeeksmith.com
Tell us your child's name and age and address and we will add you to the mailing list!
